My work is about my intimate art life and how it fits into the world around me. I feel “wrapped up” in that world. I LOVE the things that have accumulated in my studio environment – including my Art itself. Many of my paintings are 3-Dimensional. I have painted on Spheres, Hemispheres (inside and out), Sections of Spheres, Cylinders, Capsules, Rings, a Cube, a Moebius strip and a Rhombic Triacontahedron.

Geometry is important to me.

I Experiment with Vision/Perspective/Space.

Some of my works hang from the ceiling. Some rotate in space. Some can be disassembled and will fit into my suitcase for easy travel.

I design my paintings and then follow through. This process gives me great joy. I am compelled by my desire to experience the completed piece…to see what it actually looks like…behaves like… once it has moved outside of my imagination and into the real world. I live and work with it. I “Fall in LOVE” with it.

Often, external issues like climate change or global politics overwhelm my solitude. It literally seems to invade my mind and personal space. This has brought more and more Drawing and Text into my work overall. Art – is my way of understanding and reckoning with the World.
